Rock Creek has been dropping and is in good fishable shape. Not much for dry fly action just yet, but this weekend that should change. Nymphing is the way to go right now with Rubberlegs, TJ Hookers, Perdigons, Jig PT’s, Hare’s Ears, San Juans and Princes. Cloudy days look for BWO’s and March Brown’s to be out in the afternoons. Sz 18 BWO’s and sz 14-16 March Browns. Flash Cripples, Tilt Wing Duns, DOA’s and Extended Bodies. Streamer fishing is an option, especially if it’s cloudy or toward the end of the day. JJ Specials, Sparkle Minnows, Sweeney Todd’s, Mini-Dungeons and Baby Gongas.

Montana SNOTEL Current Snow Water Equivalent % of Normal
SWE is an acronym for Snow Water Equivalent, signifying the quantity of liquid water present in snow. Essentially, if you were to take a certain snow depth and melt it, the resulting water height would be representative of the SWE.
