CURRENT CONDITIONS
The Bitterroot is coming up because of the warm weather we had this past weekend. Fishing will definitely be tough this week, but still fishable. Runoff could still be fishable since we had big water all spring. We'll keep you posted. If you head out there stick with nymphs and streamers, unless you see fishing rising to Caddis or Gray Drakes. When the water is on the rise dry fly fishing can suffer. Worms and Stonefly nymphs will be the way to go for now, until the river stabilizes.
Looking Forward
Runoff will start this week, but the way things look we could be fishing through runoff this year if we don't get any big rain events. We'll keep you posted.
FLOATERS BEWARE
Lots of trees are down again this year and a few places are dangerous. Give our Missoula fly shop a call for up-to-date information. 1/2 off Fridays are still happening, every Friday all year long. (1/2 off your first dozen dries or nymphs)
