Oros Strike Indicators- Glow in the Dark (3-Pack)
Glow-in-the-dark strike indicators give you the option to extend your time on the water. Glow-in-the-dark strike indicators help you see strikes better in the arly morning evening and into the night. We have nymphed and dead drifted streamers under glow-in-the-dark indicators with great success.
Charging Oros glow-in-the-dark strike indicators works best with a strong headlamp or UV light. Phone lights do not work as well. We recommend rolling the glow-in-the dark strike indicator in your fingers or on the line for about 30 seconds while it is illuminated. The purpose of rolling the indicator is to expose the entire indicator surface to light.
We have found that Oros glow-in-the-dark strike indicators start off bright and dim over a period of about five minutes. How long you need to go between charges depends on how the indicator was charged, lighting conditions and your eyesight. Consider switching to a larger indicator than you might use for daylight fishing for greater visibility.
When fishing at night, we recommend that you do it with one or more fishing buddies. Be aware of the wildlife and take appropriate precautions. We see different animals at night versus during daylight hours. Fishing at night is not legal in some areas. Please follow all local fishing regulations.
This 3-pack of medium glow-in-the-dark strike indicators is assembled to our original low-impact packaging made of Forest Stewardship Councilcertified paper. It's not the cheapest packaging option, but its better for the forests our waters run through.
Less pain
Oros strike indicators eliminate common indicator pain points. There are no small parts to fumble and lose. It's streamlined design is centered on the line for balanced casting. There is no exposed fastening hardware or posts sticking out to create drag or tangle line.
The Soft-Lock™ design advantage
Oros strike indicators feature patented Soft-Lock™ technology. The design encloses fastening hardware inside of two molded soft foam hemispheres. When closed, the hardware holds the line, while the foam hemispheres compress creating friction between the two hemispheres that keeps them from disengaging. Over-sized threads make securing it to the line effortless.
Wet indicators are easier to use
Oros indicators are easier to grip and tighten down when they are wet. Water on the indicator creates more friction between your skin and the indicator. Water between the two hemispheres reduces friction between the two halves by up to 35%, making it easier to keep line in place.
How to attach:
- Unscrew top
- Place line in screw slot
- Screw on top until you feel a hard stop and the screw and nut grip the line
